EP 58: How to Eat Seasonally (and Why It's So Important)

Welcome to the Mind Your Body Show this is culinary nutritionist Trudy Stone and I’m so grateful for you tuning into today.   As the weather starts to cool down, you may notice a slight shift physically. Perhaps your digestion is off. Or maybe you keep finding yourself super tired at the end of the day. Today I’m going to share how to give your body the support it needs to thrive during the change in seasons so you feel energized and at your very best. With the change in season, we can actually see that change in our environment. We see various changes around us, such as flowers budding in spring and leaves that shed in the Fall. Also animals hibernate with the arrival of winter, and so on. As human beings we’re also part of the same ecology so our bodies are greatly influenced by external environment. Eating natural, whole foods in accordance with the changes in seasons will help to achieve  nutritional balance throughout the year.
