I get it.
The first question you have is what is ‘moringa’? Did she spell morning wrong?
Nope, spell check is working just fine but enjoying this smooth n’ creamy moringa latte first thing in the morning would be a very good idea.
Unfurrow your brow hun, let me break it down for ya.
Moringa has been used for ages as a cure-all in Indian and North Africa. It’s known as the ‘tree of life’ and it’s super leaves are packed with calcium, vitamin C, beta carotene, protein and potassium. If you can think of a nutrient or mineral it’s a pretty safe bet that moringa has it.
Studies also show that moringa can be beneficial in lowering blood sugar and reducing inflammation. A 2014 study done by the Journal of Food Science and Technology show that moringa may play a role in slowing down again due to the high levels of antioxidants while decreasing oxidative stress.
I only discovered moringa quite recently but I’m very impressed by its nutritional profile. According to SuperLeaf’s website It’s said to have over 90 nutrients, 46 different antioxidants, 18 amino acids and a range of vitamins and minerals.
I really liked the SuperLeaf™ brand for a few reasons:
- The taste 🙂 Much better than I expected, which is always a huge positive with health food!
- Non-GMO, 100% Organic Moringa oleifera
- No gluten, wheat, dairy or sugar
- Packaged within a few hours of harvesting to preserve freshness and nutrients
- 14 x the iron of spinach
- 98 x the Vitamin C of bell peppers
I bet you’re probably wondering where you can grab this. I was after researching it!

There are some superfoods that have quite a strong taste but thankfully moringa isn’t one of them. It has a nice mild sweet taste, not what I was expecting at all, which makes it perfect in this moringa latte.
Since it has such a subtle taste you could add it to just about anything from smoothies to muffins to pancakes if you wanted to give your meals a nutritional boost.
I used matcha in this moringa latte because I thought the flavours would pair well together and they do but matcha is completely optional in this creamy bevvie.
This soothing drink is perfect in your jammies on a #SelfCare Sunday afternoon. Moringa is said to be a natural energy booster due to its amino acid profile, so you could also drink this moringa latte instead of your morning coffee.
